Mobile platforms have gone through a major upgrade in the recent past to support development of engaging applications across various categories. Equipped with touch screens, cameras, GPS, motion sensing etc. the kind of applications that can be developed on today's smart phones is only a matter of imagination. With over eight years of mobile application development experience we have equipped ourselves with in-depth knowledge and enviable expertise on the following application development platforms.
Apple
With the launch of the iPhone and App Store, Apple revolutionized the mobile applications landscape. The insatiable demand for applications by iPhone users makes it the most favorite platform for content owners and application developers. We were amongst the first ones to adopt this development platform when it was launched and have since then developed and released over 50 feature rich applications either independently or for our clients. We are very excited about the recent launch of the iPad and the new iOS and have several apps in the pipeline which will leverage the new device and the new OS capabilities.
Android
An open source platform developed by Google and supported by major mobile manufacturers, Android has very rapidly positioned itself as a strong contender to Apple. The openness of this platform has enabled application developers to include several innovative features that are not possible on platforms like Apple. Since late 2009 we have been aggressively developing on this platform. We have ported several existing apps for our clients to this platform and are also developing new ones to leverage its unique capabilities.
Blackberry
In the enterprise market Blackberry has been the undisputed leader. In the consumer market its recent success has been very impressive attributed mainly to its wildly popular Messenger (BBM). We have been developing applications for this platform for over 3 years now and posses a very in-depth understanding of the platform's features.
J2ME
The grandfather of mobile application development platforms, J2ME has been around for over a decade and is supported by the world's largest manufacturers like Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and Samsung. It is not as feature rich as the newest smart phone platforms. However the ability to run J2ME applications on thousands of different handsets makes it very attractive for application publishers. We have over 8 years of experience with this technology and have developed everything from games to social networking apps.
Windows Phone 7
Microsoft's latest attempt at establishing itself as a prominent mobile platform provider has been received with a lot of excitement from the industry. With a stunning new interface and tight integration with the enterprise, it may just prove to be the iPhone and Blackberry killer that everyone has been waiting for. We have started getting our hands dirty with this platform and will soon be very well positioned to develop and release apps for it.
